Nikki tells us about her inspirational tech journey and her passion for Machine Learning.

Hi, could you introduce yourself to our readers?

Desi chica, regal like everything else that's Indian. I work in web/app dev, cybersecurity and data science. Fascinations- psychology and cognition, design and automation. After beating you at Hackathons, I'll still let you dance with me at the after-party

What are you working on?

I work for Walmart tech as a Software/Cloud engineer, I build systems which can be used in the Walmart and Sam's club stores and they reside on the cloud. On the side, for myself, I build ML models to play around and analyze the stock market to observe the trends. Like I mentioned above, I'm intrigued by psychology, so I'm also working on the side to analyse consumer psych to build better products.

What are your goals?

My goals are to build products which use high-end tech, easy to manage, super cheap and easy to maintain, user-friendly and most importantly help people and make their life easier.

Do you have a mentor? Do you mentor anyone?

I have a few mentors at work.

I do mentor a few folks in my team and some outside.

What tips would you give to someone wanting to break into tech?

It's not as tough as it looks from the outside. All you need is a little push. The best part is everything is available online for free, yes for free. You don't need a degree to work your magic on computers. Just give it a try and there's always people like us who are ready to help you out in case you need it! We got you!

Follow - on Instagram I follow a lot of women in tech, fitness influencers, on LinkedIn I follow the big 4 in tech and overall I follow the news for the latest in technology..
