Could you please introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Mena and I am passionate about STEM Education. I am from the South Bay Area and a first-generation student. I am also a Gates Millennium Scholar and currently enrolled in my final semester as a Grad Student at the University of San Francisco where I will graduate with a Master of Science in Information Systems.

What got you into coding? Did you have a role model or mentor?

It wasn’t until after my undergrad that my own interest in tech led me towards wanting a masters degree and gaining experience in coding through my program!

What are your goals?

Obtain my physical and become a professor or be a higher education administrator

What advice would you give to people breaking into tech?

I’d say to reach out to as many people in the field of your interest to gain exposure to different career and educational paths!
